This site records what every nonstop flight in and out of the Azores costs, and publishes what it finds every Monday. The cheapest way across the Atlantic today is **$361 one way from Toronto**, to either Ponta Delgada or Terceira. The cheapest flight anywhere on the network is **$41**, Terceira to Lisbon. Those two numbers came out of the same place everything here comes from: the airline's own published fares, read on a fixed schedule and written down. Nothing is estimated, and nothing is predicted. ## What we watch Eighteen routes, both directions. Ponta Delgada and Terceira reach North America and mainland Europe. Horta, Pico and Santa Maria reach Lisbon. Frankfurt and Barcelona are seasonal and go quiet out of season. Connecting itineraries are excluded, even where they are cheaper. The fare cache we read carries no stop data at all, so "nonstop" here is our own list, checked against the airline's published route map by hand, rather than a filter we can ask for. One carrier's published fares, deliberately. Other airlines fly nonstop to the islands, and their prices are not reachable from where we read. Listing those routes would imply we watch them, so we leave them out rather than show a board we cannot keep. ## Today's fares Every figure below is the lowest we hold as of 11 September 2026, for economy, one adult, in US dollars, on departures still to come. Lisbon to Santa Maria is $128 and $131. On those two routes the second leg costs almost nothing. 3. **The reverse is true across the Atlantic.** Every North Atlantic round trip is close to double its one way, and New York's is $755 against $381. 4. **Frankfurt is the odd one out.** $113 one way and $484 return, which is over four times the outbound. Nothing about the distance explains that. 5. **Six of the eighteen cheapest fares are sold in the island-to-mainland direction**, not the direction most readers search. If you are pricing a trip from Lisbon, check both ways. ## What arrives every Monday From Monday 14 September there is a page like this one for every week, at a fixed address, and it carries four things the tables above do not. **A change column.** Every fare beside what it was seven days earlier, as a dollar amount and a percentage. A route we have not watched for a full prior week says "no prior week" rather than showing a zero, because a route we just started watching has not held steady. **Three charts.** Every route ranked by price, the cheapest transatlantic fare by departure month, and each group's cheapest fare over time. The first two are drawn below, from the week running now, so you can see the shape before the first report lands. The third needs three closed weeks behind it, because a line through two points is a decoration rather than evidence, so it appears in October and not before. **The data itself.** Every week is downloadable as CSV and JSON, with the exact figures behind the rounded ones, and carries a citation you can copy. **A fixed window.** Each report covers one ISO week, Monday to Sunday. Once a week closes its figures never move again, because the table behind them only ever gains rows. A number you quote today reads the same next year. ## What this does not tell you yet Nothing here is a trend. We began recording every route on 9 September 2026, so there is no earlier week to compare against and no honest way to say whether $361 is cheap for Toronto or simply what Toronto costs. That answer needs weeks, and weeks take weeks. The first report lands Monday 14 September and covers a partial week, because recording started on the Wednesday. From Monday 21 September the change column covers every route. ## How to read a fare here Each figure is the lowest fare we recorded, not the lowest that was purchasable at every moment. We record the airline's own US dollar fare, which is what lets a fare sold in Lisbon and a fare sold in Boston sit in the same column, and we convert it to euros once, when we record it, at the European Central Bank reference rate published the day before. Both figures, and the rate between them, are on every page and in every dataset row. These are published fares, not live inventory. We never take payment for travel and you book with the airline.
